Single-station balancer for crankshafts

CEMB’s automatic crankshaft balancer with multi-plane drilling and bobweight compensation provides precise balancing without a counterweight, making it ideal for single- and multi-cylinder shafts.

Features

  • Automatic balancing: the ZBK/TA range enables balancing crankshafts from single-cylinder to more complex configurations, simplifying and speeding up the process.
  • Precision and quality guaranteed: the crankshaft is machined with extreme stability on rollers or bushings, preserving the integrity and quality of the journal surfaces.
  • Automatic removal and perfect cleaning: the system eliminates imbalance in multiple planes, removing material and evacuating chips automatically to ensure a clean working environment.
  • Easy production management: with permanent calibrations, rigid media and touch-screen loadable programs, production changes are quick and easy.
  • Real-time control of cutting parameters to enable correct feeds by crust-breaking and chip-breaking function.
  • Advanced connectivity: built-in software provides access to production data, real-time statistics and remote support for optimized operational control.
  • Remote assistance and local support available worldwide.

      Data matrix reader

Manual or automatic data matrix code reading system for part traceability.

Angular drilling of the connecting rod pin

Correction type that allows processing shafts without clusters by making angled holes in the connecting rod journal. This option can also be implemented to correct shafts with clusters whose imbalance is placed at 180° to the counterweight.

      Bunch flattening cycle

Indispensable for processing crankshafts with uneven radius bundles to smooth out the correction zone. This facilitates entry of the drill bit used for balancing holes by preserving their condition and preventing breakage. It is often complemented by the dual correction unit option.

      Production control with reference piece

Cyclic production control system using part reference, which verifies the quality and repeatability of the production process.

      Tool wear control

Automatic tool wear detection system in the case of drilling and milling, which ensures maximum efficiency and safety, avoiding machining with unsuitable tools.

      Minimal Lubrication (MQL)

Minimum Quantity Lubrication (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) air-oil system that uses a small amount of oil dispersed in a jet of compressed air to lubricate and cool the tool during machining.

      Double correction unit

Machine equipped with two independent correction units often equipped with different types of tools, e.g., cutter on one unit and drill on the other or drills of different diameters. Useful both for making flattening cycles and for reducing the cycle time or for being able to drill holes of different sizes according to the desired correction zone.
